He was absolutely steadfast with his chants of "Let's Go Cutters!" as this dismal crowd provided virtually no response to his efforts, and all dreams of a win, faded from reality. I want to give a special shout out to the guy in the safety vest with the cone who passionately attempted to inspire a melancholy crowd all the way through 9th inning. ![]() The staff seemed friendly and enthusiastic. That was unfortunate, but players come and go. The Crosscutters only scored one run tonight and it wasn't until the last inning. This was one of our favorite State Parks we stayed at so far this year. Super size and pretty beach area (no dogs allowed) and Lake Jean is beautiful!. Two "milder" hiking trails are the Bear Walk trail and the Highland Trail that you can start right from the campgrounds. You can make this loop shorter by starting from the campground and only miss 3 waterfalls. We started at Rt 118 and did the whole 7.2 mile loop with 21 waterfalls. Trails can be narrow at places so wear good hiking shoes/boots. The drought kept the waterfalls to minimum but it's still a beautiful hike. The Falls Trail is very well marked, others not so much. Lots of hiking trails which is what we look for and like for our dog when looking for campgrounds. Can't comment about the restrooms/showers as we didn't use those with having an RV. Sites are huge and gravelled (small gravel around picnic table and fire pit and larger gravel in parking area). The sites are nice and spread out, the most of any other campgrounds we stayed at so far (we've been RV camping for 5 years). We will certainly be going back!įirst time here and stayed in a full hook-up site in the dog friendly loop in our 19 ft RV travel trailer. This is a beautiful, rugged park with amazing views. You can get a park map there, buy a sticker, and get your questions about the park from the helpful staff. There are displays of wildlife and park history. The visitor center has nic bathrooms and some shirts to purchase. Because we hadn't gotten a lot of rain, the water wasn't as deep as the markers claimed, but we were told it can get deep enough to cover the last few steps. There are stairs leading down to the swimming area. The sand is in an area that overlooks the river. It has a hard, limestone bed and the water is refreshingly cold. ![]() Keep in mind that they have sand, but it isn't a typical beach. Some spots were a little challenging, so you may find it helpful to have trekking poles to help!Īfter soaking in the views and doing a short hike, we enjoyed swimming at the beach. This part of the trail was very rocky, but absolutely beautiful. We also used the trail connector to walk part of the Loyalsock Trail. We used a picnic table by the vista to enjoy our picnic lunch. Worlds End SP is a PA best kept secret! We enjoyed the beautiful vista and “rock garden,” which is an area of large boulders to walk around.
